SPANISH
for MYP

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) is designed for students aged 11-16. The MYP curriculum framework consists of eight subject groups, offering a comprehensive and well-rounded education for early adolescents. Spanish is one of the languages included in the language acquisition group that students can opt for.

ExcelSpanish supports the student throughout these years, helping them establish the foundations of Spanish and reinforcing their Spanish learning.

SPANISH
for AB Initio

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is designed for students aged 16 to 19 and serves as the final preparatory step before entering university. The Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum consists of six subject groups and the DP core, which includes theory of knowledge (TOK) , creativity, activity, service (CAS), and the extended essay.


It is a requirement of the programme that students study at least one subject from Language Acquisition (Group 2). AB Initio Language is an introductory level designed for students who have had no prior exposure to the language. The final exam is based on the four language skills.


ExcelSpanish provides support to students throughout these two years. Our lessons are specifically focused on preparing students to achieve a high score in the final exam.

SPANISH
for SL/HL

Same as the the AB Initio, it is a requirement of the programme that students study at least one subject from Language Acquisition (Group 2).

SL/HL Language are intended for students who have had some previous experience of learning the language. The differentiation between Language B SL and HL becomes evident when considering the recommended teaching hours, the expected proficiency levels in receptive, productive, and interactive skills, and the additional requirement for HL students to analyze two literary works originally authored in the target language.
